Certificate IV in Small Business Management

 

 

Start any time during the year and study in the comfort of your own home.

 

The Certificate IV in Small Business Management (BSB40407) will teach you how to establish your own small business and manage it successfully. This small business course will give you the skills to manage any small business and teach you valuable entrepreneurial skills.

 

You will learn how to develop a business plan, manage cash flow and risk, promote your business, maintain its website and manage your own time.

 

 

Government funding

If eligible, government funding will cover the total cost of the Certificate IV in Frontline Management.

Information for employers / managers in regards to government funding

As part of a NSW Government initiative some ITCC qualifications give employers access to funding.

 

The Australian Government is committed to supporting Australian businesses develop a strong and thriving economy. As a demonstration of this commitment, the Australian Federal Government and a number of Australian State Governments provide funding for training. 

 

If you qualify for federal funding, you are given $4,000 to use towards training your staff. 

 

ITCC charge $4000 per course and only invoice you AFTER your have received funds from the government, at no point will you be out of pocket.

Course delivery

We send you the course materials one unit at a time so you can study at your own pace in the comfort of your own home. A support trainer will be assigned to you throughout your studies whom you can contact with your questions about the course material.

 

You will also have the opportunity to participate in workshops, either through ITCC's professional development programs or scheduled workshops specific to your course.

For assessment purposes attendance at least four Certificate IV in Small Business Management specific workshops is compulsory.  Workshops will be held in most major NSW centres.

Pre-requisites

There are no academic pre-requisites to this qualification however; the qualification does require effective language, communications, interpersonal skills and the ability to write a range of documentation. Candidates also require complex cognitive skills in planning, analysis and synthesis which form parts of the skills requirements of many units.

 

It is highly recommended that participants are currently employed in a related field, preferably in a management or supervisory role with 3 or 4 years experience at supervisory or management level including people management, strategic planning and decision making responsibilities.

 

Note: It is desirable that participants are employed on commencement of the course to enable full benefit from the delivery method and in order to complete the required assessments. Should any participants not be employed or discontinue their employment during the course, ITCC will provide work placement if required.

University pathways

Students who complete the Certificate IV in Small Business Management with ITCC and have five years of relevant work experience, have the option of direct entry into the Sydney Business School Post Graduate Programs.


Students without sufficient work experience may be eligible for mature age entry into a Bachelors program. Contact UniAdvice on 1300 367 869 for more information.

The Certificate IV in Small Business Management is $3,500  which includes all course materials and text books.
