Hammond CareHammond Care has earned a reputation as one of Australia's most innovative aged care organisations. They specialise in dementia care, palliative care, rehabilitation, aged care psychiatry and other health and aged services. Hammond Care provides those services through sub-acute hospitals, residential care and innovative community services throughout New South Wales and has a particular commitment to dementia care and research as well as to older people who are financially disadvantaged.
ITCC has partnered with Hammond Care to provide RTO services while Hammond Care do what they do best through the Dementia Care Essentials Program.
Dementia Care Essentials is a Commonwealth Government initiative offering nationally recognised dementia care training to 9,000 aged care workers throughout NSW and the ACT. As a Commonwealth funded initiative, the Dementia Care Essentials course is free of charge to eligible care workers in residential, respite and community care services.

The course is nationally recognised. Successful completion results in a Statement of Attainment for the Unit of Competency 'CHCAC15A - Provide care support which is responsive to the specific nature of dementia'.
Assessment involves demonstrating competence in the work place or through written evidence based on workplace experiences.
